Caldera Public House

Stopped in with Lori at the Caldera for a beer and some food after a conditioning hike. First time back to place in a number of years. The place is still very charming and positioned as a small neighborhood pub. It was a lovely day so we took advantage of their outside seating area. A perfect place on a warm Spring day. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. They do not have a lot of micro brews on tap but for a short list they have some nice ones. I had a stout that was very nicely done with complex smoky flavor and a nice balance of hops. Lori had an ale and with her untrained palette accessed it as tasting like beer, cold and good. I ordered a couple of items from the happy hour menu and Lori ordered a burger. Prices were reasonable and the food was good. The general menu has a mix of pub grub and more restaurants still food. The inside seating is a nice mix of booths, tables and bar seating. A nice place to drop into for beer, food and conversation.
